Thieves swipe cash from unlocked Jeep

The Broward Sheriff’s Office is trying to identify the people who took several hundred from inside a vehicle parked along a roadway outside Parkland.

The incident happened about 3:30 a.m. on Oct. 26 when the 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee was parked along the 4700 block of Northwest 74th Place.

Surveillance images released Monday show three people apparently searching for unlocked vehicles in the area. There was no sign of forced entry into the Jeep where the money was stolen, the Sheriff’s Office said.

The incident is a reminder that people should lock their vehicles and take their valuables with them, detectives said.

Authorities ask anyone with information on this case to contact BSO Detective Tony Hierrezuelo at 954-753-5050 or Broward Crimes Stoppers, anonymously, at 954-493-8477 or online at http://www.browardcrimestoppers.org.
