Lily, a 4-month-old poodle mix, was doing what puppies do: Frolicking in her owner’s yard, happily greeting a stranger who leaned over a fence.
But Coral Springs police say the stranger, possibly a teenage boy, stole the black dog that has white markings on its face and chest.
The agency released a video that showed the puppy being lifted out of her yard.
Lily didn’t have a microchip to identify her and wasn’t wearing a collar when police say she was snatched Sunday morning from the property, in the 4100 block of Northwest 78th Lane. Investigators say she is valued at $600.
Coral Springs police ask anyone with information about Lily’s whereabouts to call Detective Diane Wantuck, at 954-346-1257.
