Deputies seeking man who stole teeth-whitening products

Detectives are seeking a Parkland thief who has a thing for a pearly white smile.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office on Monday released surveillance video of a man who stole $450 worth of teeth-whitening products and toothbrushes from a CVS at 7621 N. State Road 7 on Oct. 15.

The suspect walked into the CVS around 4:30 p.m. and browsed the dental hygiene aisle while talking on his cellphone. He pulled a bag from his pocket and started filling it with white strips and toothbrushes, the sheriff’s office said.

Moments later, an accomplice driving a gray or silver Ford SUV is seen backing into a disabled-parking spot in front of the store. The suspect got inside the car after walking out with the merchandise, the sheriff’s office said.

The suspect is a thin man in his 30s. He has short brown hair and was wearing a long-sleeved gray shirt and black pants, the sheriff’s office said.

Authorities ask that anyone who recognizes the suspect or has information about the theft contact Det. Tony Hierrezuelo at 954-753-5050 or leave an anonymous tip with Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.

A reward of up to $3,000 is available for information leading to an arrest.
