Herbs de Provence is a mix of dried herbs native to Provence, in the southeast region of France. It is often used to flavor grilled fish, meats or vegetables stews. Traditionally, the blend consisted of rosemary, savory, marjoram and thyme. Over time variations included lavender, tarragon, chervil and fennel. Herbes de Provence is available at most grocery stores. Or you can combine your favorite herbs at home for a custom blend. Store in an airtight container away from moisture, heat and light.
